Abstract

This article is about the reversible carnot cycle.

The carnot reversible cycle is bounded by two isotherms and two adiabats, one alternating the other. The special feature of the isotherms of saturated or wet steam is that the isotherms are also lines of constant pressure.

The p-V and T-S diagram for a carnot cycle working between the temperatures T1 and T2 with 'water substance' as the working medium as shown in the figures.
