Abstract

This article is about the method used for detecting nuclear radiation by the detection of free charge carriers by the ionization produced by them.

Ionization chambers depends for their performance on the electric pulse of current produced when ions are formed by the passage of a charged particle between two electrodes maintained at a sufficient potential difference.
